JOINING OUR HEARTS PRAYING FOR GOD’S WORLD Please join the World Mission Committee in praying for our global partners and the persecuted church. Thank you for continuing to pray with us for the persecuted Church and for God’s world.   The International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians (IDOP) is Sunday November 7, 2021 and throughout the month of November.   The first request of persecuted Christians is “Will you pray for me?” Thank you for your steadfastness in intercession for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. To learn more about the IDOP and to get resources for your church and prayer teams. Click Here.   Blessings, World Mission Committee GLOBAL PARTNERS   Malawi from Bishop Fanuel: Let’s join hands to pray for Bishop David of Lusaka in Zambia part of our province. He is battling against cancer. With our health challenging it is very hard for his recovery. Prayer may be our only help. We give thanks to God for the wonderful celebration we had in Mzuzu and Likoma. We thank God that Bishop Biggers was able to come and be part of this celebration. He is still in the country. Pray for his safety he might be around for sometime.   The diocese has been given a license and frequency for the radio station so that the vision to proclaim the gospel of Christ “in realization of the Great Commission in season and out of season” will hopefully be fulfilled.  Please pray for the final installation of equipment and for the $10,000 funds needed for the radio station to be completed by December. Continue to pray for the diocese’s ability to manage the spread of Covid-19 in the villages and to encourage vaccinations. We are thankful that the cases for the pandemic are getting better and better. The challenge is to make people understand the need for the vaccine. There is a lot of misinformation. We are trying our best to give rightful information by telling the truth, speaking out of love and finding ways of caring those affected and infected. La Gran Familia (LGF) from Barbara Hautanen: Please pray for Jorge that he may soon be healed of his aggressive behavior as a result of his former abuse.  We thank the Lord that he now lives at La Gran Familia where he has caregivers and teachers who can help him through his trauma.  Pray for 14 year old Felipe who has some learning differences that make him feel inferior to those of his same age.  He came to LGF this last month. Please pray that he feels accepted in his new home and makes good friends. Continue to pray that the cartel violence in Mexico will cease and that Covid-19 vaccines be available for all who need them. Myanmar from Archbishop Stephen Than: Pray for Myanmar where the country is on the verge of civil war and significant food shortages. Archbishop Stephen reports great concern about hunger and starvation. There is also a great need for medicines and medical supplies. Pray for an ending to this civil unrest and the Church's response to the great physical needs of the people.   FOR THE PERSECUTED     Church in Nigeria: In the last month, in one local council alone, over 100 people were murdered. The government's attempt to stop this evil by imposing curfews is largely ineffective. Please keep praying for the Lord's intervention. Click here for more Pray for the people of Nigeria where they have gone into lockdown again. Everyone must stay inside. Pray for supernatural provision for the poor. Pray for an ending of this pandemic.  Church in Afghanistan: Pray for the Church in Afghanistan where many are being martyred for their faith.  Pray that they find strength, wisdom and peace in God’s promises. A new wave of refugees is expected to come from Afghanistan to many parts of the Middle East and to us here in America. Pray for God’s protection and provision over them in their journeys. Pray for the Church's response to their need. OFFERING THANKSGIVING  We offer thanksgiving and congratulations to Dean John Munson, who became a Canon of the Anglican Diocese of Northern Malawi during 25th Anniversary Celebrations on Likoma. We offer thanksgiving for our churches' love response to the Afghani Refugees who are being resettled in our area.
