This message is for the churches and prayer teams of the Diocese of Fort Worth. JOINING OUR HEARTS PRAYING FOR GOD’S WORLD Please join the World Mission Committee in praying for our global partners and the persecuted church. PRAY FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH International Day of Prayer -  November 5th and throughout the month of November   Dear Intercessors, Please continue to pray with us this month as we join Christians around the world in global prayer for our persecuted brothers and sisters who boldly witness for Christ at any cost. “We pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted for their faith that they may live their lives in peace and quietness.”  Lord, in your Mercy . . . Hear our prayer. Blessings, World Mission Committee   PRAY FOR PEACE IN ISRAEL   Update from the Rev. Kevin and Jen Cable - CMJ-Isreal We have moved from our home in Jaffa to Christ Church Jerusalem. As part of the CMJ-Israel community, we are currently serving with the war relief effort in historic Jerusalem. Please continue to pray for Peace in Israel.  CMJ has opened the guesthouses to provide food and housing for refugee families who cannot return to their homes and need to get out of the conflict areas. Last week we received our first 27 guests. As many are from communities where there are a large number descended from Russian Jews, not all speak Hebrew or English. The staff is attempting to learn Russian! The people in the group do not know each other, so please pray for God's blessings as they get used to living together in a small community in very stressful times. We pray God's healing touch on each refugee as they process their trauma. Please pray for the Christ Church staff who are very weary. We pray that our actions continue to speak to them, and they see the love of Jesus through us. Our own congregation remains in Jaffa where there are frequent rocket attacks. We have begun services online and pray for them daily. Pray for their safety and join us in thanksgiving that we can now include others in our online services. Pray for protection and encouragement for our small congregation and that the Lord would use this difficult time for His mighty purposes. May the Lord bless and keep you. FOR THE PERSECUTED AND SUFFERING CHURCH   Church in Sudan: There are approximately one million Christians in Sudan. Many are now displaced after the civil war broke out last April and some have been killed in the conflict. Archbishop Ezekiel Kondo continues to call for peace and ask for prayers for the Church in Sudan. Six months after the war started peace negotiations are being held in Saudi Arabia. These talks started last week and are being steered by Saudi and United States officials. Please join Bishop Kondo and the people in Sudan in urgent prayer for these peace negotiations. Pray for the Church as it continues to try to meet the needs of the people. May the Prince of Peace reign in Sudan.   Church in Pakistan: The Christian in Jaranwalla continue to need our prayers as they rebuild after the violent attacks on their community. Twenty-five churches were burned and many lost their homes as angry Muslims rampaged through the Christian area. Pray that the Pakistani government will protect all their citizens and not turn from their need. Pray for these Christians to be sustained in their suffering and that they will be strengthened by our prayers. Ways to Pray for the Persecuted Pray that persecuted believers will sense God’s presence (Heb. 13:5). Pray that they will feel connected to the greater Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:20, 26). Pray that they will experience God’s comfort when their family members are killed, injured or imprisoned for their witness (2 Cor. 1:3-5). Pray that they will have more opportunities to share the gospel (Col. 4:3). Pray for their boldness to make Christ known (Phil. 1:14). For more ways to pray and for a downloadable Poster or Pew Insert for your church Click Here.   Mchengautuwa Office Project OFFERING THANKSGIVING  We join with Bishop Fanuel to praise God for the Mchengautuwa Office Project which is nearing completion after five years. May God continue to pour His blessing on this investment project which is part of the Diocese of N. Malawi's strategic plan to resolve their economic challenges.  We offer thanksgiving for last weekend's gathering of our diocesan youth at the New Beginnings Retreat at St. Vincent's. May there be lasting fruit from their wonderful time together. SHARE WITH US    Often when we pray for God's world, we are blessed with a particular scripture or word.
