Holy Spirit, breath of God and fire of love, we cannot pray without your aid: Kindle in us the fire of your love, and illumine us with your light; that with a steadfast will and holy thoughts we may approach the Father in spirit and truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who reigns with you and the Father in eternal union. Amen. (BCP 2019, pg. 675)
Thank you for continuing to intercede with us. And thank you for sharing these prayer requests with your churches so others may pray. What a privilege it is to draw closer to God as we pray for the nations and His world.

GLOBAL PARTNERS
Malawi from Bishop Fanuel:
- We shall be launching the construction of a Convent for the Sisters this month of May. Join us in praying that we should build with God in everything. As we know that unless God builds the house those who build it labours in vain. May we not work in vain but with His favor.
- We have our Synod this year on Likoma Island. Although it’s going to be in September, join us in praying for good planning and that the parishes contribute as they are expected. This will combine the administration business and spiritual life activities as a conference.
- We have planned a gathering of the coordinators of the Community Bible Study groups. Join us in praying that this will open their understanding of the bishop and there will be a zeal for this Diocesan study.
- The World Mission Committee has presented a summer mission opportunity for FTW churches to help support theTrue Awakening feeding program in four schools in Malawi. The MY LUNCH PROGRAM is great for VBS, mission/outreach projects, EYC fund raisers, etc. Pray that many churches will participate and that the project will be a great blessing to the children of Malawi. La Gran Familia (LGF) from Director Martin Cordova:
- Gaby Fierra was raised at LGF along with her siblings. She is now living on her own and after a time of working is discerning her next steps toward independence. Pray for wisdom for her as she discerns if she will go back to college. Pray for doors to be opened and ways to be known as she seeks God's will for her life.
- Proceeds from the Mother's Day Ingathering this year are needed for the operating budget for LGF. Pray for a successful ingathering. May our partnership with LGF continue to bless us as we bless the children of Cuauhtémoc.
Myanmar from Bishop David Nyi Nyi Naing in Diocese of Mandalay:
- Bishop Reed had the opportunity to have a face-to-face with Bishop David at the recent GAFCON gathering in Rwanda. They were able begin discussions on future visits between the dioceses. Please continue to pray for protection for Bishop David and all the Church in Myanmar. May God grant them mercy and peace.
- There are reports that dozens of churches have been burned to the ground during the ongoing military coup. Pray for peace and the end of this evil. Pray for the Lord to sanctify their suffering. Lord have mercy!
- On Sunday, Cyclone Mocha hit the northwest coast of Myanmar bringing down power lines and cutting communication to the already conflict-racked Rakhine state. "Early reports suggest the damage is extensive and needs among already vulnerable communities, particularly displaced people, will be high," said the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Pray for those affected and for those bringing aid. May the Lord turn His face upon these people and give them provision and peace. Click Here for More.

FOR THE PERSECUTED AND
SUFFERING CHURCH
Church in Sudan:
- In Sudan a civil war has broken out between the Military leadership and the Rapid Defense Force. Since mid-April there has been fighting and violence centered in the capital city of Khartoum. This warfare has resulted in the death of many and thousands are fleeing their homes. Pray for the nation of Sudan, for its leaders and people. Pray for the protection of the Church of Sudan and particularly for the Episcopal Church of Sudan, our fellow Anglicans, that the Lord would strengthen and encourage them. Pray for blessing and protection for the Archbishop and Primate Ezekiel Kondo and Bishop Andudu Adam Elnail (co-leader of the GAFCON Suffering Church Network). Click Here for More.
Church in Pakistan:
- Christians are considered second-class citizens and discriminated against in every aspect of life in Pakistan. Women and girls are often abducted, raped and forced to "marry" their abductors and convert to Islam. Pakistan is ranked #8 on the World Watch List. Pray for believers that are working in dangerous and unsanitary jobs, that God would keep them healthy and safe.
WAYS TO PRAY FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
• Pray that persecuted believers will sense God’s presence. (Heb. 13:5)
• Pray that they will feel connected to the greater Body of Christ. (1 Cor. 12:20, 26)
• Pray that they will have more opportunities to share the Gospel. (Col. 4:3)
• Pray that they will love and forgive their persecutors. (Matt. 5:44)
• Pray that they will be strengthened through the prayers of fellow believers. (Jude 20,22)
