SUSTAINED BY PRAYER
What a blessing it has been to hear from Bishop Fanuel Magangani during his visit with us this month. Our partnership in the Gospel continues to grow strong and our prayers are the foundation of this relationship.
It has been so good to hear from him about how the clergy and people of N. Malawi have been sustained by our prayers as they have faced the physical, spiritual, and financial challenges this past year.
Thank you for your steadfastness in prayer for our Global Partners, the Persecuted Church, and the Nations.
Blessings,

GLOBAL PARTNERS
Malawi from Bishop Fanuel:
- Bishop Fanuel will be traveling back to Malawi on June 25th. Pray for his safety and comfort as he travels. May he return to his diocese refreshed and renewed.
- The Youth and Renewal Committee of the Diocese has been conducting Youth Leadership Training in the Archdeaconries this month. They will have a Happening June 17-19 in Mzuzu Archdeaconry. Pray for the presenters and leadership that they may be spirit filled. Pray for spiritual nourishment and growth for the youth from eight parishes who will attend. Pray for safety in travel and for God's provision for all the participants as they attend this Happening.
- The Diocese of N. Malawi Printing Press continues to be a blessing of revenue for the diocese as they print prayer books for churches all over Malawi. Recently during a power outage the press was damaged and needs to be repaired. Pray for God's provision for the service and parts for the necessary work. Pray that the work can be done locally and not need to be outsourced.
La Gran Familia (LGF) from Barbara Hautanen:
- New children continue to arrive at LGF. Most of them have suffered through severe physical or mental abuse, neglect, poverty, or living on the streets of Cuauhtémoc before coming to LGF. Pray that they begin to heal and flourish.
- In March the children returned to in-school learning. Pray that they all stay healthy, especially the ones too young to receive Covid vaccine.
- The U S Board of LGF met recently at St Vincent’s. There are 13 members on the board, and they are currently discerning new projects for this year. Pray for them as they let their faith and hearts guide them to make wise decisions for the children of La Gran Familia.
Myanmar from Bishop David Nyi Nyi Naing in Diocese of Mandalay:
- Myanmar’s military regime has said that appeals by two prominent democracy activists against their death sentences have been rejected, paving the way for the country’s first executions in decades. Pray that these executions will not be carried out. Lord have mercy and bring Your peace to the people of Myanmar. Click Here for More
- Almost 700,000 people have been forced to flee their homes since this Military Coup started. There is a dire need for health services, food and relief and shelter for the people. Continue to pray for the safely and provision for Archbishop Stephen and his clergy as they ministers to those affected and builds bridges for the Gospel. Click Here for More
- The Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) has a $10K matching grant for food and Covid relief funding in Myanmar. Pray for generous givers and for the Church in Myanmar as they respond to the physical needs of the people. Click Here for More

FOR THE PERSECUTED AND
SUFFERING CHURCH
Church in Nigeria:
- On Pentecost Sunday and estimated 50 Christians were killed and many wounded as they worshiped in Southwestern Nigeria. The persecution in Nigeria continues. Often Christian pastors are kidnapped and held for ransom. Please pray for the families of the victims of this massacre. Pray that the church in Nigeria will continue to stand firm in the faith despite increasing attacks. Pray for diligent action by authorities to identify those who continue to target Christians and bring them to justice. Click Here for More
Church in Sri Lanka:
- The nation of Sri Lanka continues to suffer from their worst economic crisis in decades. Their government is now requesting help from the UN World Food Program. Bishop Dhiloraj Canagasbey writes, "Incarnating oneself in life struggles of the people and to share the Love of Christ is the fundamental call of the Gospel. Thank you so much for your prayers and relief." Pray for the Church in Sri Lanka and especially Bishop Dhilo as they respond to the people’s great need. Pray with thanksgiving that relief efforts are beginning and pray for efficiency, and quick and lasting help as they weather this crisis.
