This message is for the churches and prayer teams of the Diocese of Fort Worth. JOINING OUR HEARTS PRAYING FOR GOD’S WORLD Please join the World Mission Committee in praying for our global partners and the persecuted church. The Lenten Discipline of Prayer   Thank you for continuing to intercede with us. And thank you for sharing these prayer requests with your churches so others may pray. What a privilege it is to draw closer to God as we pray for His world.   1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful lives in all godliness and holiness. May you have a holy Lent, World Mission Committee GLOBAL PARTNERS   Malawi from Bishop Fanuel: Malawi is experiencing a significant rise in Covid cases. Deaths last month exceeded the total number from the previous ten months. Pray for God’s blessing on the Diocese's attempts to support safety protocols and pray for the vaccine to soon be available for all of Africa. Pray for Bishop Fanuel and his clergy as they struggle to control the spread of the virus and to heal the sick. Pray for them as they deal with much miscommunication about the vaccine. Pray for their health care systems as they face many difficulties. During the pandemic church gatherings have been restricted to 50 people which has resulted in very limited financial giving. Pray for financial provisions for the diocese and that our Centurion Program will help sustain them in their immediate need.               Click here to learn more La Gran Familia (LGF) from Barbara Hautanen: Pray for protection for La Gran Familia and that the cartel violence in the city will subside.    Pray for the children as their school is held virtually. Pray they can continue to concentrate and learn despite the distractions. Pray for protection for the college students as they go to and from classes. Pray for healing for Martin, director of La Gran Familia, as he continues to have side effects from Covid. Mandalay from Bishop Reed: Pray for the peace and welfare of the Church in the Province of Myanmar. Pray for Bishop David and his family as they serve the Diocese of Mandalay. Pray for the great needs of the people and for the churches as they respond. Africa from Glen Petta: Please continue to pray for healing from cancer for Archbishop Ben Kwashi. And pray for his wife, Gloria as they face this serious challenge.  Continue to pray for the financial needs of churches in many villages. They are often struggling for provision as gatherings are prohibited due to Covid. FOR THE PERSECUTED   Church in Nigeria: Nigeria’s army has reportedly rescued hundreds of people abducted by Boko Haram. This includes at least one of the 112 Chibok girls kidnapped in 2014.  We pray for all those who have been kidnapped that they may be returned to their families. We praise God for the answer to our prayers for action from the Nigerian government. Click here to learn more.   OFFERING THANKSGIVING  We join Bishop Fanuel and the Diocese of Northern Malawi in thanksgiving for the funds received to install the Printing Press in Mzuzu. We pray God’s continued blessings on this investment project which will bring income to the diocese.
