Thank you for continuing to join us in prayer for our partners and our world. We are so encouraged by the participation of so many intercessors across our diocese.
Here is a great thought on prayer by Walter Wink, “Intercessory prayer is spiritual defiance of what is in the name of what God has promised.” God promised Abraham, “and through your descendants all the nations will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice”. Genesis 22:18
As descendants of Abraham, may we stand in spiritual defiance of the lostness, pain and suffering in the world and may our intercessions bring great blessings and hope.
Blessings,
World Mission Committee

Malawi from Bishop Fanuel:
- Pray for a spirit compassion and love toward families caring for Covid patients. May the spirit of God transform the villages where people are fighting the disease.
- Continue to pray for wisdom for the bishop, clergy and lay leaders as they discern how to safely operate their churches and support the needs of the people.
- Pray for peace and calm in the cities and towns of Malawi as recently scheduled political demonstrations have occurred and there has been vandalism and looting and the police have responded with tear gas.

- Pray for God’s guidance for the LGF Board as they discern plans to expand the LGF ministry to a neighboring town of Anahuas.

FOR THE PERSECUTED
Nigerian Christians:
Over the last few weeks, dozens of people have been killed in a predominantly Christian state in southern Kaduna by Fulani extremists. Hundreds of women dressed in black gathered in northern Nigeria to protest this wave of killings that has gripped their region. Click here to read more.
- Please pray fervently with us as these killings rage on, taking the lives of our Nigerian family and crippling the church.
- Pray for an end to these attacks and for the ability to bring aid and trauma support to as many of these families as possible.
- Continue to pray for international pressure to persuade the government of Nigeria to take action to protect Christians.
